Meal Planning - Pouches to the Rescue

A relatively new trend - flavorful sauces, many ethnic / quasi exotic and oh so delicious - in a pouch! No more crazy complex foreign recipes, running all over town for wild spices you may only use once, hours spent prepping, stirring etc. Pouches are the perfect way to stock your pantry - a long shelf life, standing by, ready to help you turn a boring piece of protein into a fun high flavor meal in the blink of an eye.

Quick meal idea - Grill a chicken thigh or breast, slice it, add it to pouch contents gently simmering in a pan on the stove and bingo, you have a great start to a great meal. While that’s simmering, cook some veggies with added good fats and boom, dinner is on the table fast, with rave reviews. My fave pouches here but soooo many choices, all on Amazon or local grocery stores like Sprouts, Whole Foods, etc.

I love Maya Kaimal brand, so many amazing Indian offerings, all flavorful, none too spicy. Mina is another fun middle-eastern brand, my fave is their Harira, an authentic Moroccan sauce - super tasty. Kevin’s offers KETO fans a number of yummy choices. True Primal goes a step further and includes some protein although I still add my own but a great start for sure. Track down the pouches in your grocery store, likely you will see several that look exciting.

Much like how my freezer is always full of ground meats from Force of Nature (Sprouts, Natural Grocer, etc.) as well as frozen wild caught fish - sauce pouches are always in my pantry ready to bail me out with a fun dinner after a busy day if I failed to plan ahead. Give a few a try, I think you will like them ;-)
